I didn't pivot into the trades. I came from them. I started swinging tools — drywall, steel stud framing — then put myself through school twice and worked my way up through operations. Now I build the AI systems and websites I wish existed when I was still on site.
Most people selling technology to the trades have never set foot on a job site. I started as a trades worker — drywall and steel stud framing — before putting myself through school and working my way into operations.
I trained at Humber College in Home Renovation Technology, then went to George Brown College for Construction Engineering Technology in 2016. From there I spent years coordinating projects, estimating mechanical and plumbing scopes, and finished as an assistant supervisor on high-rise structural builds across the GTA. I've been in the site trailer at 6am and in the operations office when the phones don't stop.
That experience is what drives what I build. When I design a system for a trades business, I'm not guessing at the problems — I've lived every layer of them.
